On the Road

During the Solemnity of Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion, we begin the holiest week of the year. Carrying palms, we recall Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We remember that on this day, Jesus was welcomed as the long-awaited Messiah.

Yet, how quickly things turn in life! Our excitement is tempered with the knowledge of what lies ahead—Christ’s Passion and Death. During this week we will journey with Jesus from triumph, through sorrow, to the victory Christ won for us.

Go Forth

Close your eyes and quiet yourself. Imagine that you are among the crowd that greeted Jesus in Jerusalem on that first Palm Sunday. Speak to the Lord, welcome him into your heart, and thank him for his great gift.
