On the Road
Like Saint Luke, whose feast day we celebrate this week (October 18), we are called to be evangelists. We are to share the Good News of the Gospel with family, friends, parents, and students. So in this Year of Faith, it is especially fitting that we help the people we serve to encounter the living Christ in their daily lives. In a very real sense, in order to help others meet Jesus, each of us must be Christ to them through our words and deeds. h3. Encounter "Preach the Gospel always, and if necessary, use words" (attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi). "In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel" (1 Corinthians 9:14). h3. Go Forth How are you living the Gospel? How are you Christ to others? What are two specific ways you can help others proclaim the Gospel through their actions?
