Our Catholic Heritage is flexible, allowing you to adapt the curriculum so that it works with your schedule. Below are three models that you can use as a starting point for your planning.
Full-Year Model: 33 sessions
- 12 sixty-minute “The Life of Jesus” sessions
- 10 sixty-minute “The Faith of the Church” sessions
- 8 sixty-minute “We Celebrate Our Faith” sessions
- This model does not include the culminating Family Sessions which serve as immediate preparation for the Sacraments the children may be receiving.
Semester Model : 18 sessions
- 4 sixty-minute “The Life of Jesus” sessions
- 10 sixty-minute “The Faith of the Church” sessions
- 4 sixty-minute “We Celebrate Our Faith” sessions
- This model does not include the culminating Family Sessions which serve as immediate preparation for the Sacraments the children may be receiving.
Two-Week Summer Module
- Ten daily three-to-four hour sessions
- Each day includes two “Faith of the Church” sessions and one “Life of Jesus” lesson. Gospels related to the Triduum can be taught in special seasonal sessions before Holy Week.
- The “We Celebrate Our Faith” sessions can be taught when appropriate during the Liturgical Year. This will help to keep the students engaged and involved throughout the year.
- This model does not include the culminating Family Sessions which serve as immediate preparation for the Sacraments the children may be receiving.
