Prayer for Victims of Typhoon

We invite you to join the RCL Benziger family in praying for all victims of Typhoon Haiyan and for all working to bring aid and comfort to our sisters and brothers in the Philippines and Vietnam.

Loving Shepherd,
you embrace the family of humankind
with tenderness and mercy.

Look today upon your daughters and sons
whose lives have been forever changed
by the typhoon and storms
which have swept away loved ones,
homes, possessions, hopes and dreams.

Welcome to their eternal home
all who have lost their lives.

Embrace and comfort
those who mourn the deaths of loved ones.

Give peace of heart to those across the world
who await word of family members and friends.

Keep safe those rushing to respond to the needs of your children
with food, shelter, medical assistance, and care.

Inspire us, your Church on Earth,
to respond generously
to the needs of our sisters and brothers today
and in the days to come.

Amen.
